Dear Exporters,
CIAe along with other organizations is once again taking up the 80HHC negative profit issue very strongly with the government in view of the recent judgment of the special Mumbai bench.
I look forward to your co-operation to attend and protest in the strongest way possible against this injustice being done to all fellow exporters.
Brief action is as below:
1) FIEO has now agreed to take this fight ahead under their banner as they also have the consent of the commerce ministry.
2) It is agreed to have a Dharna with a target of 400 people from all over India to fly to Delhi to participate in the protest with minimum target of 250 people from Bombay.
3) We request each member to urgently rush a cheque of Rs.12,000/- per person to cover expenses of flight ticket, transportation, meals and advertisement expenses to hold the protest in Delhi. Cheque details : Amount of Rs.12000/- in favor of "The All India Exporters Grievances Forum" mentioning in the covering letter A/c "Delhi Protest" to be sent to the CIAe office at Mumbai and we will collect all these cheques and hand over to FIEO.
Please also give the name of the person in whose name the ticket should be Booked. We would like all the Directors, Partners to come to Delhi for this protest.
4) It has been agreed to hold the protest on Thursday, 4th August 2005 at Boat Club which is the only official venue for protest in Delhi.
5) We would depart by the early morning flight around 7 a.m and return by 9 p.m flight departing from Delhi by around 7 p.m.
Transportation and meals would be organized for all members and further instructions would follow by e-mail.
6) It has been further agreed that we would serve the memorandum to the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Commerce Minister and several other Parliament Members.
7) We would also announce that incase our problems are not resolved exporters would go on strike after 15th August 2005 for a agreed period. Keeping in mind that we have to be reasonable and people have to run their business as well. The idea is to get the required publicity and attention.
The Apparel Industry which is the most affected should have a present form Mumbai of over 100 Exporters and I look forward to your whole hearted support.
It is now or never so lets spare some time and make a difference by being present in Delhi on 4th August 2005.
Thank you,
Regards,
Amit Goyal
